The Adelaide Coastal Festival combines the flavours of South Australia through a vine, brew, and artisan market, aiming to provide an authentic taste of Adelaide to cruise ship visitors while creating an enjoyable event for all South Australians.
The Coastal Festival will unfold within the charming surroundings of The Royal South Australian Yacht Squadron, conveniently situated a mere 500 meters from the Cruise Ship Passenger Terminal. Our inaugural event is scheduled for Friday, December 15th, with doors opening to the public at 12pm. This auspicious date coincides with the arrival of the Majestic Princess, bringing nearly 5000 passengers and crew to Adelaide on a transit visit. Stallholders are welcome to begin setting up from 9am.
Our marketing efforts for this event will kick off on November 17th and will include a robust social media campaign from both organizers and stallholders, press releases, on-site signage, and with strong support from the South Australian Tourism Commission, dedicated volunteers stationed at the cruise ship terminal to guide guests to our festivities. Additionally, the City of Port Adelaide & Enfield Council will be operating a return shuttle bus service from the terminal to Port Adelaide, with a stop at the Festival included in the route.
South Australia’s Cruise Ship season promises to be a bustling affair, with 124 cruise ships expected to bring over 227,000 passengers and crew to our beautiful state, providing an estimated economic boost of over $215 million. Traditionally, shore-based activities have been limited to a select few providers. However, our close proximity to the terminal makes our offering particularly appealing. Similar events in Darwin and Cairns have enjoyed great popularity.
While our first event will primarily be held indoors, we anticipate the possibility of expanding into our spacious outdoor area as interest grows. To register as a stallholder in any or all of our events please complete the web form registration
